frog

Not too many people out on this last Friday morning, not to much spectacular findings either. The limpkin families are not showing off (my guess is to many people trying to get photos) if they are around. I did find a pair without the juveniles.

here’s a list of what I did see, in case you aren’t familiar with the area!

Caracara
Bald Eagle
Turkey Vulture
Osprey
Male Harrier
Great Blue Heron
Great Egret
Snowy Egret
Anhinga
Double Crested Cormorant
Brown headed Cowbirds
Starlings
Boat Tailed Grackles
Common Yellowthroat
Marsh Wren
Least Bittern
Pig Frogs
Baby softshell turtles
Mockingbirds
American Coot
Common Moorhen
Blue Winged Teal
Mottled Duck
Mallard Duck
Pied Billed Grebe
White Ibis
Glossy ibis
Savannah Sparrows
Tri Color Heron
Little Blue Heron
Cattle Egret
Green Heron
Belted Kingfisher
Red Shouldered hawk
UFO probably FOS Kestral
Swallows.. moving to fast to tell species
limpkin
Some big Gators too!

My guess is that this weekend will bring in more migrants and we should start to see some green winged teal some in with the blues.. I’m looking for wood ducks and fulvus whistlers! Pintails would be nice too, but they like bigger areas like MINWR and TM GoodWin
