Viera Wetlands on a Cloudy Day 04-20-13

The kids and I did a drive through of the Viera Wetlands, Click Ponds, and Moccasin Island.  It was overcast and windy.  There really wasn’t a lot going on.  The most fun was had watching the Least Terns fly and feed on our way out.  We also saw the Sandhill Cranes, Osprey, Common Moorhen, American Coot, Limpkin, White Ibis, Glossy Ibis, Great Egret, Cattle Egret, Least Bittern, Green Heron, Anhinga, DC Cormorant, Blue Winged Teal, Pied Billed Grebe, Boat Tailed Grackle, Red Winged Blackbird, Royal Tern, Roseate Spoonbill, Savannah Sparrow, Mottled Duck, Tri-Color Heron, Little Blue Heron, Purple Martin, and a few others I’ve forgotten to mention.
